Magazzù M-16, the cruiser with a need for speed
Also available in the MX-16 version with outboard engines, the Magazzù M-16 is a 16.70-meter maxi RIB that appeals to both sports enthusiasts and cruising fans alike.

Powered by three Mercury 600HP outboards, the Magazzù MX-16 can reach a top speed of 50 knots. On the other hand, the Magazzù M-16, powered by two 600 HP Volvo Penta IPS800 inboard engines, is a more relaxed cruiser for long-range navigation—though not necessarily slow.
A glance at the sleek, streamlined profile of this 16.70-meter maxi RIB is enough to understand that it certainly doesn’t lack the desire to run.
The sporty look is further emphasized by the aerodynamic hardtop and two side extensions resembling small wings. These not only provide additional shade but also generate lift, helping the RIB rise out of the water while supporting the function of the two steps incorporated into the hull for this very purpose. These steps reduce water resistance, resulting in easier and faster planing.
The Magazzù M-16 does not feature traditional air-filled tubes. Instead, it is equipped with “D shape” tubes made of solid, shockproof surfaces crafted from closed-cell foam and cross-linked polyethylene with EVA density ranging from 45 to 100 kg/m³. This design ensures greater compactness and sturdiness, even with thinner walls. The lifting areas are further reinforced with higher-density foam.
Whether you opt for the inboard-powered M-16 version or the outboard-powered MX-16, the onboard experience is what one would expect from a nearly 17-meter maxi RIB. Below deck, there are two cabins and two bathrooms, with the option to add two additional berths in the central dinette area.
The Magazzù MX-16 also offers the flexibility to configure a crew cabin, utilizing the engine compartment left vacant by the inboard engines. Moreover, the outboards can be concealed under a cockpit sunpad, preserving the aft swim platform.
The deck layout features a walkaround design with a generously wide perimeter walkway encircling the spacious cockpit dinette and the kitchen unit located opposite. At the bow, there’s a classic sunpad flanked by two opposing sofas.
