New in 2019: Fountaine Pajot 40 has two hulls, two engines and a flybridge

The latest addition to the motor yacht range of the French builder is named Fountaine Pajot 40: a power catamaran with a large flybridge and contemporary design.

Outside, Fountaine Pajot 40 features energetic lines, with distinctive bows to make it sleek. But as every catamaran, the main advantages are inside. It sports a wide salon with galley to starboard and a dinette for 6-8 people to port. The two companionways take to the hulls: one is dedicated to the owner who eill enjoy a large cabin with transversal bed, a room with basin and closet and a separate heads. The starboard hull hosts another two cabins, a double and a twin with bunk beds, and those two share a second heads.

But there is plenty of space outside as well. The foredeck is closed, which means that the space between the two hulls houuses a recessed lounge with a sofa and two sun beds. To aft, the cockpit has an L sofa and a table completely covered by the flybridge overhang.
The mentioned flybridge, accessible via a rounded staircase, is almost as large as the boat itself.  Beside the second helm station with two settees, there's a big lounge (larger than the one in the salon), a wet bar and a fore solarium.

As for the performance at sea, it will offer the typical stability of a catamaran on relaxed water. The poweretrain consists of two Volvo Penta engines, delivering 300 or 370 hp each, coupled to IPS 400 or 500 transmissions.
